Meet Dr. Magleby

Dr. Magleby was born April 18, 1968 in Richfield, Utah. He spent most of his growing up years living in McGill, Nevada and later, Huntington, Utah. He is the second of six children. He graduated from Emery High School in 1986.

After high school, he attended Snow College and then served for two years as a missionary in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Upon returning from his mission he continued his studies at the College of Eastern Utah (now known as Utah State University Eastern) in Price, Utah where he received his associates degree. He then transferred to Utah State University in Logan to finish his undergraduate work.

After finishing his studies at Utah State, he was accepted at Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry in Portland, Oregon. He and his wife loved their dental school years spent in Oregon and have many fond memories of their time there. He completed his dental training in 1996 and immediately started practicing here in Layton. In 2015 he built and moved into his new office which he, his staff, and patients have loved.

Dr. Magleby married his wife Krista in 1992, a few months before starting Dental School. They have 3 children. As a family they enjoy watching movies, family dinners, playing games, hiking, biking, boating, skiing and generally spending time together. Dr. Magleby also enjoys fixing things, watching baseball and considers himself a “car guy”.

Dr. Magleby loves being a dentist. He enjoys the technical aspects of dentistry and the challenge of solving the complex restorative problems he faces in his day to day work. He has invested heavily in the latest dental technology. He also enjoys the interaction and friendship he is able to develop with his patients and has a special ability to help those who are nervous about going to the dentist.
